Last Wednesday night my husband and I got to experience the Farm To Table Night at the Wilburton Inn in Manchester, VT. Each week you get to indulge in organic vegetarian recipes around from the globe with produce that comes from the Earth Sky Time Community Farm and brought to your table. Enjoy a buffet style menu, live music, dancing and some of the best views in Southern Vermont.
Last weeks buffet menu was Greek themed and consisted of Zucchini Parmesan, which was absolutely wonderful, deconstructed dolmade salad, a cucumber salad in a honey oregano dressing, roasted chick peas with kale and garlic scapes and a red cabbage and radish slaw with lemon tahini dressing. Of course we had to try a piece of their brick oven made bread that we dipped in Tzatziki, which was a minty yogurt sauce. Every week the menu varies, so you can expect something different every Wednesday night.
While we were waiting for desert we decided to walk around the property of the Inn which consists of 30 acres to take in the grounds and explore a little bit. We stumbled upon some interesting sculptures and some breathtaking views.
When we were done trying to walk off dinner we headed back to our table for dessert which consisted of a custard like tart with fresh raspberries and vanilla ice cream. It was the perfect way to top off a wonderful evening.
These dinners sell out fast!! So to make reservations or for more information contact:
You will have plenty of opportunity to check out Farm night because it runs every Wednesday night through September. Once you have tried Farm Night at the Wilburton Inn you are going to want to go back again and again. I know we will.
