Moretown, Vermont is a town in Washington County located west of Montpelier, and south of Waterbury, Vermont, off Route 100B.
Moretown was one of 12 rural communities to be awarded a grant in December 2010 from the e-Vermont Community Broadband Project. The grant will result in a new website for the town, among other technological upgrades. The e-Vermont Community Broadband Project is supported by a $2.5 million stimulus grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce with additional support from Vermont philanthropists, corportations, and organizational partners.
