Alex Frantz and Zack Shafer spent five years writing and performing together before relocating from Ohio to Vermont and forming The Eyetraps with bassist Phil Smith and drummer Sophie Powell. Drawing inspiration from ’90s grunge and modern indie rock, the band’s self-titled debut EP features heavy distorted guitars, raw vocals, and stacked harmonies exploring themes of regret, loss, and self-deception.
A seasonal celebration of Vermont’s incredible musicians, the Summer Concert Series has been serving up a side of local music to downtown Burlington at lunchtime for 14 years.
