"The leaves have really begun to pop over the span of the last week. Vibrant fall hues can be spotted from the access road to the summit. The Green Mountains aren’t so green at the moment, and we’re not mad about it. HarvestFest Weekend kicks off Thursday with Scenic Lift Rides, Mountain Biking, and so much more. Hope to see you up here!"

"Happy Fall! Slowly but surely, the leaves are changing here at Southern Vermont’s highest peak. As you drive up the access road you will notice that shades of green are making their annual transition to shades of yellows, reds, and oranges. The Stratton Gondola spins Thursday through Sunday from 10AM-4:30PM – come on up and get front row seats to this yearly spectacle we all know and love so much."

"Autumn colors are slow to start this year. Although our property, the Manchester View has little change, some trees along Main Street are turning a bit. It’s no wonder that leaf-peeping is getting a slow start with the rainy summer and warm days recently. Looks like fall colors will last until the end of the second week of October, if not longer. Now is a good time to plan a visit; there are two fun events coming up! The Fall Open Studio weekend is September 30 and October 1. And the Fall Vermont Home Brew Festival is October 7. Both are sure to be great autumn events to make your visit to southern Vermont lots of fun! Apple picking at Mad Tom Orchard and taking a stroll at a farmers’ market would also enhance your visit!"

"The start of foliage season is among us in Southern Vermont. While small trees have begun to turn red in the Village, the tops are larger trees on the bottom third of the mountain have also begun to turn into those all so familiar hues of red and yellow. There’s still a lot of green on the scene noting that we are just at the beginning of this scenic transformation which we love to track every Fall. The Stratton Gondola spins Thursday through Sundays from 10am-5pm, to come take in the views for yourself and see the colors of Fall from 3,875 feet about sea level. It’s just the start, exciting colors to come!"

“We’ve been seeing stunning reds, oranges, and yellows across the pastures and valleys. The morning fog has been gorgeous this time of year, burning off early and revealing dramatic foliage vistas. No need to go driving - guests have been having their morning coffee and taking in peak foliage all from the comfort of their front porch! Between the fall colors and the full farm experience - foliage stays have been one-of-a-kind!”

"Someone really turned up the dial on the color this week - the hills around Richmond and Jericho are looking much more vibrant over the last few days. I'm seeing lots of reds and dark yellows coming out, and the sunsets this week have been terrific."

"Color change has begun in northernmost Vermont, especially in the Jay Peak area. Trees are starting to show oranges, yellow, and red in small doses (approximately 10% coverage). Weather has been cool with highs in the upper 60s and Lowes at night around 50. With no significant rain in the forecast for the next 7 days, we’re anticipate no major leaf losses, and great viewing conditions.

Forecast is for a smooth, steady transition of colors over the next 14 days. With elevations in the area ranging from 600 feet to 4,000 feet above sea levels, expect color changes to start atop Jay Peak and the other area mountains, and then gradually working its way down to the lower elevations 7-10 days after that."

"Colors are popping up slowly in and around Burke. Spots of gold are appearing in East Burke Village which is the site of the 34th Annual Burke Fall Festival happening this Saturday. The event kicks off with a parade at 10am and features a huge craft fair with over 70 vendors. For the kids, there will be games. face painting, pony rides, rubber ducky races and an interactive show from Reptiles on the Move. The festival also offers wagon rides, live music from Whiskers of Odd and of course, the famous BBQ! Event details: Website and Facebook"

"Foliage season is getting a late start through most of Vermont, but we're starting to see colors show up in patches across the state. There are lots of mustard yellows and plum purples in Chittenden county so far, but cool nights ahead should help the sugar maples start their transition in the next week or two."
