Bring Fido! We are so dog friendly, our family’s nearby Wilburton Resort’s Canine Concierge Jetson was featured on Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl! All breeds are welcome. $125/per dog.
CATERING:
Earth Sky Time, our nearby family farm can provide organic vegetarian or vegan drop off catering.
The event chef of The Wilburton can also help cater your celebrations.
POOL & TENNIS:
You are welcome to use the nearby outdoor pool and tennis court at The Wilburton resort half a mile away. Occasionally there are blackout times due to Wilburton events.
The private indoor heated pool, located in the Wilburton resort Clubhouse, is open year round and booked by reservations in advance.
From November - April, get a free 1 hour private pool party swim.
Additional indoor pool time is available for $150/hour, $250/2 hrs.
CLEANING FEES:
$550 linens & $950 end-of-stay cleaning fee is added to all reservations. Housekeeping is available during your stay for an additional fee. There are 2 washers and dryers in the basement.

The commercial kitchen features 10 gas burners, 2 ovens, 2 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators, and a 3-bay sink. It is ideal for cooking for large groups.
The wood-paneled dining room and adjoining breakfast room seat all 34 guests.
The versatile ballroom is 800 sq feet. It is typically set up as a game room with a full size ping pong table, oversized chess table, table top foosball and air hockey. All furniture, except for the Victorian green velvet couch, can be cleared so that the space can be used for many other functions. It seats wedding ceremonies and dining functions for up to 50 guests. We frequently host yoga retreats. The ballroom fits 23 yoga mats.
The oversized living room has a piano and large flat screen TV, 3 leather couches, overstuffed chairs, board games, books, and Bluetooth stereo.

Rm 15: TWIN Small sunken room off of the living room. Shares the powder room and shower in the hall. Note: If you’d like us to roll up the huge ballroom carpet, then we use this room for storage so it can not be rented.

GROUNDS:
4 picnic tables that seat 40 guests, 2 propane BBQ grills, a gazebo, hammock, lawn games, pond, and a bonfire area with chairs in the forest.
Wedding groups can enjoy a variety of backdrops for ceremonies - in the forest, next to a majestic tree, on the front lawn or down by the pond. (The pond is not very deep. It’s more for photos than swimming.)
There is plenty of room for free parking.
HISTORY:
The Battenkill Valley Mansion was built in 1904 as a wedding present for the daughter of the man who built our sister property, the majestic Wilburton mansion.
The Wilburton Destination Resort less than half a mile away accommodates up to 100 guests in 7 buildings of different sizes and styles. AREA
Manchester is a year round destination for sports, arts, and relaxation, less than 5 minutes away from designer outlet shopping, Orvis fishing, canoeing, tubing, hiking, and world-class golf. Bromley Mountain is only 10 miles away, and Stratton just 18 miles. The Dorset Summer Theatre Festival, Vermont Horse Show, Southern Vermont Art Center, Crafts Fair, and farmers markets are just a few of the fun nearby activities. Step outside your door for miles of scenic bike rides or runs along scenic River Road.
The Battenkill Valley Mansion is in the heart of Manchester Village, only 1 mile from the Equinox Hotel and Hildene. Bromley and Stratton Mountain are minutes away - only 8 and 18 miles away respectively.
DIRECTIONS
Only 4 hours from New York City and Boston, 90 minutes from Albany International Airport, and 1 mile from the shops and stores of Manchester, The Battenkill feels very far away but is in fact very easy to reach.
Our family has lived in Manchester for 50 years. We celebrate our 36th year as family innkeepers of the Wilburton Resort on Columbus Day 2023.

It's an amazing one of a kind home. Very peaceful, quiet and a true gem. Lots of beautiful artwork too. Great for hide and go seek. You can eat outside in summer. Firepit. Firewood and pond towels are not included in this rental.
