The RiverShack is located directly on west river where you can swim, tube or just relax! Close to downtown Brattleboro where you’ll find shops, restaurants, local museums, Markets, etc..
We are located 30 minutes from Mt Snow, 40 to Stratton and magic mountain. 50 minutes to bromley mountain . Surrounded by nature, many hiking trails, waterfalls, swimming holes, etc.. never ending outdoor activities! There is a town skate rink close by and a small ski hill in Brattleboro about 10 minutes away!
The Cabin is suitable for 4 adults please be aware of the sleeping accommodations when booking for more than 4 adults. See the bed layout and bedroom information. For families, the cabin is suitable for 2 adults and 3 children.

Inside The Shack the kitchen is equipped with all the amenities of home including stainless steel refrigerator & microwave, dishwasher, toaster oven, coffee pot and tea kettle. There is a dine in area that seats 4-6 people two steps down from an open concept living room. Plus a gorgeous view of the river! The Kitchen is supplied with: cookware, pots, pans, plates, cups, bakeware, wine glasses and silverware. Additionally there is a coffee machine, a cold brew maker, and lots of other items to make your time here as convenient as possible.
The living room has a loveseat sofa with an ottoman and extra blankets inside. There is a rocking recliner plus two bean bags and two Japanese floor mats rolled up to the side to maximize this cozy space. It is a small space so please be aware of the minimal seating. There are extra folding chairs provided in the laundry room if extra seating is needed. There is also a 50 inch smart TV with surround sound, Bluetooth/WiFi equipped & Alexa set up.
Full bathroom with a walk in single stall shower. Fresh Towels, body wash, shampoo & conditioner are also provided!
Outside there is a walk out porch from the kitchen sliding doors with a bistro patio dining table and an outdoor grill. Sit relax and watch the river flow by. Swim & tube! the river is very shallow, clean and slow moving. Enjoy some fishing right in the backyard where you can find northern pike, river bass, and brook trout! Play some yard games, there is plenty of space! There is also a riverside fire pit for s’more roasting and quality time. Guests will have access to our kayak, paddles & tubes. Life vests & helmets included. Near the fire pit you’ll find our river shed space which has all of your outdoor needs! Zero gravity lounge chairs, floats, umbrellas, yard games, sand toys, etc….
The driveway has 2 side by side parking spaces.
Bedroom 1: queen bed with a large closet space (queen air mattress & extra linens and blankets in the closet) Fans in each bedroom.
There are a few steps down into the bedroom from the living room.
Bedroom 2: bunk bed with 1 full and 1 twin bed and a twin trundle bed. A Rocking chair, Shelves filled with a variety of puzzles & games.
Common area which would be the living room- has enough room for the queen size air mattress you’ll find in the master closet.
Laundry room is off of the living room equipped with a washer & dryer. In the living room you’ll find lockers for your shoes and belongings.
Access to the full property & home. Large backyard and direct river access. Kayaks & tubes are available for guest use.
