One of a kind majestic log house private estate on secluded 20 acres is terrific size and layout for multiple families or a group of friend traveling together. You'll find everything you need to be as relaxed as possible during your stay. During winter it is a paradise for skiers with Bromley 5 minutes away, Magic Mountain 13 minutes away, Stratton 22 minutes away and Okemo 30 minutes away. In the summer enjoy the swimming pool and numerous hiking or cycling opportunities nearby. The house is also only 15 minutes away from the town of Manchester with a wide selection of restaurants, shopping, and leisurely activities.

The space is tastefully decorated with a lot of new furniture and amenities. These include a heated 32 feet salt-water swimming pool, a game room with a billiard table, a state-of-the-art large outdoor hot-tub and a sauna in its own building. Two fully equipped kitchens and dining areas in two houses, complete with the top-of-the-line Weber grills outside, allow your group to separate into more manageable units.

The space

This estate has two separate houses connected by a spacious 4,000 sq. feet deck. Step into the Main house, where you're greeted with large glass doors and windows which allow sunlight to flood the space while providing unparalleled vistas of the nature around. Combination of these views and the log interior creates an impression of being outside. The Main house has 7 beautifully decorated bedrooms (including four with king beds and one with a queen bed), 6 bathrooms, 2 family rooms with beautiful fireplaces on each level. A fully equipped and beautifully appointed kitchen with wood and granite counters, professional gas cooktop and everything else a chef would need for a gourmet meal or a relaxed family dinner. The Main house also has a TV entertainment room and a children’s room.

The Guest house has 4 bedrooms (including two with king beds), 2 bathrooms, a spacious sun-filled family living room with hardwood floors and a stone fireplace. The view of the alpine field from the living room is spectacular. The guest house also has a fully equipped renovated kitchen with a large dining table. Down below there is a game room with a bar, TV, a ping pong and a billiard table for your enjoyment.

Your perfect day: After a fun day of skiing, swimming or exploring everything Vermont has to offer, relax in the spacious new sauna, pool or the outdoor hot tub the deck, all the while enjoying gorgeous views of the alpine field and the mountains! Then look forward to fine dining in one of many excellent restaurants in Manchester or BBQing on the deck - the choice is yours! After dinner go to the outdoor fire pit to roast marshmallows with kids, or fire up one of the three house fireplaces and enjoy your companions by the fire. Put on your favorite music on our quality Hi-Fi music system either on the deck or in the living room to complete the relaxation. Or spend your downtime watching sports or movies on one of the four 70 inch TVs.

The estate has a generator that automatically powers the main and guest houses in the event of an outage.

** The pool is open from mid-May to late-October, weather permitting. There is an extra charge to heat the pool before June 15th and after September 15th

** If more than 22 people are staying at the house, each addition person incurs a charge of $125 per person per night up to 26 people.

** For the summer season (mid-June to Labor Day), a week rental (Sunday to Sunday) is highly preferred.

The neighborhood:

The house is located on a private secluded 20 acre estate in the picturesque village of Peru, Vermont in the middle of Green Mountain National Forest. In the winter enjoy skiing in nearby resorts of Bromley, Magic, Stratton and Okemo. Bromley Mountain, only 5 minutes away, is great for kids as well as for novice and intermediate skiers. It is so close, you can even go back home for lunch, and then back to the mountain under an hour! Two excellent x-country skiing centers, Wild Wings and Viking Nordic, are less than 10 minutes away. There are also options for snowmobiling. If this is not enough, Manchester and its surrounding areas offer several unique and unforgettable sleigh ride experiences, including dogsledding.

In the summer enjoy numerous hiking or cycling opportunities nearby. There are two swimming ponds only 15-20 minutes away by walking! Bromley Sun Mountain Summer Park offers family adventures for the whole day of fun including New England’s longest zipline, Vermont’s longest water-slide raft ride, America’s longest triple-track Alpine Slide, climbing walls, mini-golf and much more.

The historic town of Manchester is only 15 minutes away. There you can enjoy many fine restaurants. You may also visit the highly rated Equinox Golf Resort and Spa in the center of town which offers a wide range of activities: Land Rover Experience Driving School offers full day of off-road driving instructions on the 80 acre purpose built course. Green Mountain Falconry School offers a rare opportunity to handle a trained hawk. Orvis Fly Fishing School will show you how to best set up, select your fly, tie knots and more on fully stocked casting ponds and the Battenkill River. Orvis Shooting School offers beginning and experienced shooters new techniques based on the English Churchill technique. The complete shooting system is applicable to upland hunting, waterfowling, and sporting clays.

The Dorset Summer Theatre Festival, Vermont Horse Show and Southern Vermont Art Center are nearby.
