Williamstown

We Are
Vermont.

Williamstown is a town in Orange County, of the Waterbury-Montpelier region and is home to the Ainsworth State Park, a 905-acre park that provides camping, hiking, and hunting.

Some say the town may have been named for one of the grantees, Judah Williams, but others say it was named for Williamstown, Massachusetts, which was named for Colonel Epgraim Williams, the founder of Williams College.

Some notable people from the area include: Elijah Paine, a senator; and Thomas Davenport, a blacksmith & inventor.
