Vermont.com Guide to

Troy

We Are
Vermont.

Troy Vermont is a town in Orleans County, just west of Newport, VT and east of Jay Peak, in the beautiful and scenic Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, an area that National Geographic selected as part of their geotourism program for sustainable destinations. Troy contains two villages: the unincorporated village of Troy, and the incorporated village of North Troy.

The Troy area is ideal for year-round recreation activities, including skiing at nearby Jay Peak, snowmobiling along VAST trails, and nearby Lake Memphremagog is ideal for boating, swimming, and fishing during the warmer months. Of course, don't forget the spectacular display of color during the Fall Foliage season!

One notable person from Troy is Medal of Honor recipient Amasa Tracy.
