Sudbury is a town in Rutland County, of the Rutland-Killington region. It is uncertain where the name for the town came from as there are a couple possibilities. It may have been named for the English town in West Suffolk, or the Massachusetts town, however it is also possible that Benning Wentworth named it for one of Agustus Henry Fitzroy's titles, Baron Sudbury.
