Pawlet

We Are
Vermont.

Pawlet is a rural farming town in Rutland County, of the Rutland-Killington region and was the first of three towns to be granted to the men from Nine Partners (now Amenia), New York. The other two towns were Danby and Harwich (now Mount Tabor).

Some notable people from the area include: Frederick W. Adams (1786–1858), a noted physician; William Fairfield, a businessman & politician in Upper Canada; and James Campbell Hopkins, a federal judge.
