We Are
Vermont.

Newfane Vermont is located in the Southern Vermont region of the state, is the shire town of Windham County and includes the villages of Newfane and Williamsville.

The name of the town was originally "Fane" after an English nobleman, but was later renamed "New Fane" when Benning Wentworth issued a new grant because there had not been a town meeting within the first five years of its settlement.
