Checkpoint Zoo is a powerful documentary chronicling a daring rescue led by heroic zookeepers and volunteers who risked their lives to save thousands of animals trapped behind enemy lines during the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Directed by Joshua Zeman, the film features real-life heroes and is presented in English, Russian, and Ukrainian with a runtime of 103 minutes.
This screening is part of the Vermont Film & Folklore Festival.
