An intimate standup, improv and sketch comedy venue, offering shows, classes, food and full bar Wed-Sat. The space also features a daytime coffee shop: Happy Place Café, open daily.
What began as a labor of love for husband and wife Nathan Hartswick and Natalie Miller grew into a robust community - and then, a downtown venue.
As comedians with few chances to perform in their home state of Vermont, Nathan and Natalie began creating their own opportunities, producing their first shows in 2010. The pair mounted performances around the state in bowling alleys, bars, restaurants, church basements and living rooms.
In November 2015, Vermont Comedy Club opened its doors to the public for the first time, featuring a lounge, 160-seat showroom, classroom, and shows 5 nights per week with full food and drink menu. The club quickly became known nationally as one of the best in the country, attracting top comedy talent.
