Locally owned and operated by Anne and Ron Houser since 1987. The adventurous couple, raised in the hills of Virginia, first saw Manchester from the seat of a bicycle on their way to Canada. The busy little town nestled in the mountains caught their attention and they soon returned to realize their dream of opening their own outdoor shop. On any given day, you will find Ron or Anne or one of their excellent staff attending to each customer's needs. Route finding, gear maintenance, snow conditions and general local information is all part of the experience here.

The outfitter, located just five minutes from the Appalachian Trail in southern Vermont, carries the finest in outdoor clothing and gear for serious adventurers and casual wanderers alike. We encourage you to call us or e-mail us with any product or outdoor-related questions that you may have. Even better, if you're in the area stop by for the best customer service!
