The Capital City Farmers Market provides area residents and visitors with a place to buy the freshest produce directly from local growers and support Vermont’s agricultural economy. The market was named "best downtown farmers market" by Yankee Magazine and it lives up to this award with 50+ vendors each week, over half of them farmers. Additionally, market food vendors are required to use at least three local farm ingredients in their products. During the season, the market will feature special events, including seasonal cooking demonstrations, kids activities, and live music.
The Capital City Farmers Market operates year-round, hosting an outdoor market, a Thanksgiving holiday market, and an indoor winter market. More than 60 percent of the products you’ll find at market represent local agriculture, including produce, meat, cheese, plants, honey, maple syrup, and wool. You’ll find local ingredients in the prepared and ready-to-eat foods at market too, as well as local materials in many of the crafts available. Support local agriculture year round!
Winter season is every 2nd and 4th Saturday from January-April from 11am to 1pm.
Summer season is every week from May until October.
