Kick off the holiday season with Bella Voce Women's Chorus as we present Cool Yule! on Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6 at 3:00 p.m. at the McCarthy Arts Center Recital Hall on the Saint Michael’s College Campus in Colchester, VT. Note our new concert time at 3:00 p.m. both days!
This joyful concert features fresh, jazzy arrangements of beloved holiday favorites by Vermont composer Dr. James Stewart. A highlight of the program is his delightfully wicked arrangement of Deck the Halls, bringing together the voices of Bella Voce with Dr. Stewart and Collaborative Pianist Sam Whitesell at the piano, joined by Sam's twin brother, Jake Whitesell, on saxophone for a performance full of holiday spirit and irresistible energy.
The instrumental trio also shines in Stewart's lush and nostalgic Sentimental Christmas Medley, featuring the timeless classics Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and I'll Be Home for Christmas. The program is rounded out with sparkling carol arrangements and beautiful musical tributes to the magic of winter, offering an afternoon filled with warmth, nostalgia, and seasonal cheer.
