After three successful years at Billings Farm, under the TEDxHartland hill banner, TEDxWoodstock launches its inaugural edition, themed “Art Is…”, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Pentangle Arts Town Hall Theatre. Celebrated choreographer and author Twyla Tharp will deliver the keynote address, anchoring an expanded weekend of programming that also includes a special creative practice online workshop inspired by her influential book The Creative Habit and an intimate in-person “Day With Twyla Tharp” masterclass experience on Friday, June 26. Internationally recognized trumpeter Rodney Marsalis will join the program in creative conversation from the TEDx stage, beginning with opening remarks from Susan Evans McClure, Executive Director of the Vermont Arts Council. Additional speakers include Woodstock Union High School student, Orly Agin, artist and storyteller Mica Celeste; craftsman Robert DuGrenier, Harlem-based Scottish artist Debbie Taylor-Kerman; and artist, community architect. The independently organized TEDx event will bring together artists, thinkers, cultural leaders, and community members for a day of ideas exploring the role of creativity in contemporary life executive produced by Deborah Greene.
