Saturday, May 31st from 12pm-6pm. Join us at the Community Sailing Center on the Burlington Waterfront for our 2025 Season Opener: a fun, family-friendly, FREE event celebrating the start of summer on Lake Champlain! This annual gathering brings neighbors together to enjoy sailing, paddling, and waterfront activities. Whether you're a seasoned sailor or new to the water, it's a perfect opportunity to connect with the community, learn about the Center's programs, and kick off the season with excitement. Come meet fellow lake lovers and help us set sail into summer!
We will have:
- Low-cost sailboat rides
- Delicious local food truck fare and creemees
- Cool Boats for Viewing
- Fun for kids—games, crafts, and prizes
- Yoga sessions on the deck
- Tabling from awesome community partners including the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum, the Antique and Classic Boat Club, the US Coast Guard ANT program, Vermont Adaptive, Lake Champlain Basin Program, Malia Dragonboats, Sail Beyond Cancer VT, the Whistling Man…and much more!
