Common Ground Center is a nonprofit, multi-age arts, education, and outdoor recreation center. We are dedicated to environmental sustainability and strengthening diverse families and communities. This is a place where everyone can thrive.
Camp is more than a place. It’s permission to unplug, unwind, and exhale. It’s an invitation to connect with family, friends, and yourself. It’s an arena to be silly, messy, and loud, or calm, contemplative, and quiet – sometimes all in the same day. It’s an open door into Vermont’s green forests, sunny fields, and cool streams. At Common Ground Center, camp means so much to so many people – and everyone is welcome.
Day Camps: Summer and seasonal breaks from school are a great time to let loose and play. Our adventure day camps invite kids in grades K-8 to spend the week at Common Ground Center exploring nature and creative pursuits.
Camp Outright: Common Ground Center is proud to partner with Outright Vermont to host two six-day, five-night residential summer camp sessions for queer, trans, questioning, and allied youth. We welcome folks from throughout the U.S. and beyond, with campers that range from age 13-17 and counselors-in-training ages 18-19. You don’t need to identify as LGTBQ+ to come to camp; straight allies are also welcome.
Weddings: At Common Ground Center, you’ll find everything you need for the wedding day you’ve imagined – beautiful rustic facilities, breathtaking mountain scenery, and the freedom to bring your ideas to life. This is a place where your family and friends can gather, relax, and celebrate for a whole weekend while enjoying nature, exclusive site use, and each other.
Retreats & Conferences: Whether you’re an organization looking for a fresh conference space, an instructor planning a yoga retreat in the mountains, or a family that has outgrown the backyard for a reunion, consider Common Ground Center as the destination for your next group gathering.
