Newark Vermont is a town in Caledonia County, located in the beautiful and scenic Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, an area that National Geographic selected as part of their geotourism program for sustainable destinations.
Newark is one of the few towns in Vermont where the origin of the town name is not known. The town is remote from main roads, and the land is rough and uneven with many hills and little farmland, making logging and maple sugaring the biggest industry of the area.
