Coventry Vermont is a town in Orleans County, just south of Newport, VT and Lake Memphremagog, in the beautiful and scenic "Northeast Kingdom" of Vermont, an area that National Geographic selected as part of their geotourism program for sustainable destinations.

The Coventry area is ideal for year-round recreation activities, including skiing at nearby Jay Peak, snowmobiling along VAST trails, and the lakes are ideal for boating, swimming, and fishing during the warmer months. Of course, don't forget the spectacular display of color during the Fall Foliage season!

The town of Coventry, VT is probably most widely known by some as home to the "final concert" of the band Phish, held in Coventry on August 14-15, 2004, near the Newport State Airport. The concert is said to have been the largest gathering in the town's history, and even though some fans had to be turned away due to heavy rain, the 65,000 or so fans who attended made Coventry's augmented population the largest in the state at the time, surpassing Burlington VT which had a population of approximately 39,000 in the 2000 census.
