Secluded on 200 acres of pasture, woods and meadows and surrounded by working farms, Willow Pond Farm has breathtaking Adirondack and Green Mountain views. The farm borders Shelburne Pond and is a haven for wildflowers, birds and wildlife. Ospreys, pileated woodpeckers, bluebirds, wild turkeys, otters and mink are some of the wildlife that roam the farm where 400 years ago the Abenaki and Iroquois camped and fished.
The house, set among apple trees, romantic rose and perennial gardens has an exceptional view of its own private pond frequented by great blue herons and nesting ducks. Our two guest rooms are furnished with fine antiques, handmade quilts and oriental rugs. Guests can enjoy true peace and quiet, as we are the last house on Cheesefactory Lane and the entire south side of the house faces our pond and woods.
The farm is an ideal place for hiking, birdwatching, cross country skiing or strolling through the gardens. We are a ten-minute drive from the Shelburne Museum, Shelburne Farms and Shelburne Village, as well as UVM, St. Michaels College, Champlain College, Lake Champlain and downtown Burlington.
