Snowboarding has long been a favorite winter pastime in Vermont, and the Woodstock-Quechee region offers many snowboarding vacation opportunities. The area is bordered by the Connecticut River and New Hampshire. Just across the state line one can find Dartmouth College and the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, both less than 15min from White River Junction, VT, where I-89 meets I-91.
Vermont Mountains near the area that offer Snowboarding include Killington Mountain Resort and Pico Mountain. Both are about an hour from White River Junction, VT, and about 30min from Woodstock, VT, home of the Suicide Six ski area, where snowboarders are welcome on the same slopes that proudly hosted the first National Snow Snurfing (the original name) competition in 1982.
If you're a snowboarder (or you're thinking of learning), Vermont is the place to be. Vermont winter resorts have something to offer everyone from the expert snowboarder to the beginner. Find out the latest snow conditions with our Ski & Snow Report.
