Snowboarding in the Waterbury-Montpelier Region

Snowboarding has long been a favorite winter pastime in Vermont, and the Waterbury-Montpelier region offers many snowboarding vacation opportunities. Located just south of Stowe and Smugglers' Notch, this area is home to the Vermont State Capital, Montpelier, Vermont (taking I-89, about 45min from the Burlington International Airport).
Vermont Mountains in the area that offers Snowboarding include Sugarbush Resort, located less than an hour southwest of Montpelier, VT. Stowe Mountain Resort and Smugglers Notch Resort are located about an hour and a half northwest of Montpelier, VT. Mad River Glen is also located in this region, but does not allow snowboarding.
