Skiing has always been a favorite winter pastime in Vermont, and the Stowe-Smugglers' Notch region, east of Burlington, VT and the Burlington International Airport, offers many ski vacation opportunities. The area combines a classic 200-year-old village with Mt. Mansfield, Vermont's highest peak.
Ski Mountains in the area include Stowe Mountain Resort, and Smugglers' Notch Resort, both about an hour from the Burlington International Airport. Near the area, Mad River Glen and Bolton Valley are less than an hour south of Stowe, VT and from the Burlington International Airport.
