Description: Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) welcomes Ralph S. Clem, Professor Emeritus at Florida International University, to talk about the contentious relationship between Russia and NATO. Following Russia’s seizure of the Crimea region from Ukraine in early 2014, tensions have risen steadily between Moscow and the West, with economic sanctions, expulsions of diplomats and the closure of legations, and an unending barrage of mutual recriminations not seen since the darkest days of the Cold War. What do these unsettling developments portend for relations between the West (especially the US) and Russia? Registration is $18 in advance or $22 at the door. For more information or to register, please call our office at 802-867-0111 or visit www.greenmtnacademy.org.
