Flood Brook Union School (FBUS), was Vermont's first K-8 union school, was chartered in 1965 as a collaborative effort encompassing the towns of Londonderry, Landgrove, and Weston after Mr. and Mrs. Willard Kiggins Jr. donated a 25 acre tract of land and a monetary gift of $125,000 as an impetus for the school's establishment. The town of Peru joined the union in 1970.
The Flood Brook Union School is a K-8, 300-student, school located in the heart of ski country in Southwestern Vermont. A member of the Windsor Southwest Supervisory Union, the Flood Brook School Board consists of 8 school board members from the towns of Landgrove, Londonderry, Peru and Weston.
